The Lido bathtub draws inspiration from the iconic 1954 design of the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. Fontainebleau’s original architect Morris Lapidus broke with the conventions of his time to create what is now considered a masterpiece of modernist architecture through the pioneering use of bright colors, lights and sweeping curvilinear forms. The Lido bathtub follows in this design tradition with its unconventional high-low oval silhouette – a nod to the glamour and luxury of Miami’s golden era.

Manufactured from high-quality HydroLuxe, Hydro Systems created this material from a blend of both organic minerals and the best in engineered composites. This material can provide unlimited design creativity with superior strength, durability, stain resistance and a non-porous finish. It is a blend of cast acrylic polymer for durability and bonding strength, and ATH which is derived from Bauxite Ore (an aluminum ore). ATH is also a natural fire-retardant.
