All Watertech solid surface fixtures are made from a highly accurate mixture of aluminum trihydrate (ATH), acrylic modified isophthalic resin (ISO), and exact amounts of pigment and a chemical catalyst. This technologically advanced mixture is the only material used in the production of true solid surface fixtures. This mixture is then poured into the mold to cure. When combined and mixed properly under very exacting manufacturing standards the ATH and ISO resin transform into a rock hard, rigid, non-staining, UV stable product that is virtually indestructible. Because of it's inherent hardness and non-porous nature true solid surface materials are the ultimate choice in kitchens and bathrooms where dampness and bacteria or mold growth might be expected because non-porous solid surface materials will not support the growth of any organisms.
